Macdonald Youth Services is proud to announce that we have received funding from the Community Places Program. This support will be used for a basement waterproofing and insulation project for one of our Specialized Individual Placements Service (SIP) homes located in Winnipeg. SIP operates seven homes in Winnipeg, an Independent Living with Supports Program (ILS) for 10 to 12 youth and has the ability to develop one bed homes to meet the needs of adolescents who need 24 hour supervision, one to one (two-to-one) staff supervision and who for, various reasons, should not be placed with other youth.
On behalf of the Management, Employees and Board of MYS, we would like to thank Eric Robinson, Minister of Culture, Heritage, Tourism and Sport and the Community Places Program for helping us to continue to grow futures for Manitoba youth, families and communities.
