Someone’s dream getaway is about to come true, as the results are in for the sold out MYS “New York Amazing Long Weekend” raffle! On the evening of September 23, 2009, Jo-Anne Dalton was announced as the lucky winner at the MYS Annual General Meeting, held at the Dalnavert Museum.
“Congratulations to Jo-Anne for winning this exciting dream getaway,” said Sean Crawford, Manager of External Relations. “Since all proceeds from the ticket sales go to MYS programs, such as our Youth Emergency Shelter, we are very pleased with the overall success of this raffle. Everyone who came out and purchased tickets made an important contribution to the youth in our community, and what better way to announce the winner than at the Dalnavert Museum, which was the home of Sir Hugh John Macdonald.”
The “New York Amazing Long Weekend” trip was donated to MYS by a generous individual, and includes a three-night weekend stay at the Hilton, a Broadway production from Broadway.com and a three-course dinner at NYC’s finest and most famous restaurant, Tavern on the Green.
